There can be tons of problems. What do you use a router or a direct wire connection? In what country do you live and where (perhaps the Volvo server is far away and you are connected to the other end of the world). In addition, you can set ping limits in the settings. And yes, if during the game something is swinging in the torrent or some games in Origin / Uplay, then you should turn it off at the time of the game.
