It is likely that your wedge was given a script for patu. Either a sin mod such as UFO, AFT or similar. Or you have a follower with you.
You will have to rollback or get rid of followers before going to her - it depends on the situation.
It's easier with the mod, since all mods have summoning spells, so you can easily get stuck out from under the textures.
