Events (XCOM 2)
Guys, tell me, do the events last for a certain time or are they constant? It's just that some events have a duration time, it's understandable with them, but for some, the duration is not shown.It turns out they stay forever?

It clearly says: preparation. This means that when it is ready (most likely in a month, but maybe more), there will be an opportunity to complete the mission on the obstacle, but just like at the moment when you took a screenshot there again you have to make a choice.

Events are temporary - for example, -50% of rees per month or 100% probability of reinforcements on assignments or something like that.
They change periodically, and as said above, during preparation one of the events can be blocked by a partisan sortie.
