Auto-settings (The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings)

I downloaded the game, installed it, launched it (in the incentive) and the game reveals the settings to me on the low, although the game card and the processor, too, used to set the ultra automatically, why is that?

What difference does it make to you what settings the game has set for you, if you are sure of the "coolness" of your computer :) then bet on ultra, or your religion does not allow you to do it yourself?
