Kill Both Ending (Grand Theft Auto 5)

As you know, there are 3 endings in this game, killing Trevor or Michael, or saving both of them.
And no one wondered why it is impossible to finish off these two? What would it be like to play with Franklin alone? What would the atmosphere of the game be like?

And what is the meaning of this act for Franklin? The player can choose whom to kill based on their principles. Killing two years at once? This is illogical.
