Johnny Silverhand (Cyberpunk 2077)

There is such an author, William Gibson. First of all, he is known for writing the book "neuromancer", which is tacitly called the bible of cyberpunk (I mean the genre). But among his earlier books is a book called Johnny Mnemonic, which was filmed in Hollywood. Starring Keanu Reeves. So that's the question. The fact that in cyberpunk 2077 the hero Keanu Reeves' same name is Johnny - is it somehow connected, or just a coincidence?
