No way to inject a stimulant to your partner? (Fallout 4)

Already twice (with different partners) - I go up to the wounded companion and instead of being able to use the stimulator of the normal dialogue menu.
Was anyone like that?

No dialogue is needed. You approach your partner and press the center.
