There is no difference between 7, 8 and 10.
The only thing for 10 you need an SSD, otherwise you will wait 1-2 minutes for loading to the desktop, no matter what space bucket you have.
On the laptop I updated from 8.1 to 10, everything is fine, the games are working, the download is fast (just like on 8.1 and much faster than a home computer with Windows 7 boots - about the same hardware as a laptop).
