Impressions of the game (Pilgrims)
The topic of impressions of the game.Passed recently.
New miniature indie-game from the Studio Amanita Design, creators of the Samorost series and Machinarium. In the role of "wandering" of the traveler, the player wanders in search of the "blue birds of happiness" meet new characters and overcomes various obstacles.
Conceptually it's such a strange Pilgrims "card" adventure game... Uh, yeah. Every object and even the character (and there will be several available to the player as you progress) is a separate map that the player can put in a particular location – thus combining it with other cards and looking at the result. For example, if you lay out a map of our traveller near the pond, and then the map of bait – the hero uses it on purpose and catch fish. The game has some variability, sometimes you can use different cards to achieve their goals. But overall the gameplay is much easier than in previous Studio projects.
Although it is most upsetting that the game world is devoid of the originality and identity that we used to see in projects from Amanita Design. Despite the fun style, we have all the Czech middle ages. After worlds of Samorost'a, Botanicul's, etc. – feel some disappointment. Yes, and Pilgrims traversed outrageously fast.
What is the result? One step forward and two steps back for the Czechs from Amanita Design. However, to pass your evening for Pilgrims possible.

It's a great game. I found it very original and pleasant, from the passage undoubtedly got pleasure. The disadvantages of the game are very short and very small in its scale. I would be happy to have a more complete game of this kind.
