My guide (This War of Mine)
This manual refers to the first two groups of characters passing through the crowd in the summer. I haven’t had to play single Markos yet (and if someone doesn’t give a save on the android where it is open, then I don’t have to). I didn't play in winter either. This is not so much an independent guide as an addition to others in which they forgot to mention something.
General:
The game is saved when the night ends, so if an adverse event occurs in the morning (someone is sick / injured, the wrong character came), we just reboot. If the gatherer is banged, you can also quickly exit. In any case, it is recommended to copy saves every day. TitaniumBackup works on the rooted android, there you can even take notes for each copy.
Before you go to a location, you can go through it in draft right after the start of the day - see who is at the location, whether there are hostile characters, whether there is a penalty for killing them, what you need to take with you (shovel / scrap / saws, m. . something to trade). Then reboot until morning.
Passage: We
search the dwelling, we collect all readily available materials. For this we use all the characters at the same time. As soon as resources are accumulated, we build a locksmith workbench, on it a shovel and then a scrap. Digging up rubble, breaking cabinets. Don't waste your lockpicks at home! The first day can be handled.
For the first time, we build one bed, at least two sleep on it per day - one at night, one during the day. The status "did not sleep well" (if slept on the floor) is removed on the bed very quickly. At the beginning of the day, we immediately send a tired character there. We also build a stove when the characters get hungry and have something to cook.
Next, our task is to get the ax as soon as possible. An improved locksmith workbench, in principle, is not fucking needed, but it costs 30k, 15d, 5 gears + 5d, 5 gears the ax itself. Therefore, I restarted the game until the Garage appears on day 2-3. The prices there, of course, are equine, but you can exchange for herbal tablets with a small surcharge. We also buy a file and clean the garage. With an ax at home we get ~ 30 wood + ~ 20 firewood, even Marco would carry it for 3+ days.
The next goal is to build 2 traps as quickly as possible, they give +1 food on average once every 2 days, + fertilizers can be filled there instead of meat as bait (I wonder, how is that?). They need 5 gears to upgrade the universal workbench + 10 per trap, so we hunt for gears, at least we remove full slots. Having built them, we switch to almost self-sufficiency in food.
Security:
By the 8th day, you will need to punch up all the holes (3 x 10 wood, 2 components), otherwise you will be robbed. We send at least two to guard, they sleep off during the day. Roman is the best guardian. Everyone should have what the game considers to be a weapon - a knife, an ax, a crowbar, a shovel, a firearm, the game does not care (therefore, it is better not to keep a firearm with cartridges at home).
Trade:
Always try to buy from Franco (who comes to his house) items with a minimum slot price - first of all wood and firewood, then components and filters (if there is already a collector). For this it is worth building a moonshine still.
Do not sell radio parts, there will be almost nowhere to take them, but at 3 lvl. workbench you need them! Gears and s / h weapons are also not worth it. We don't eat canned food, but change it.
If you believe the Anglovians, a firearm in the defense of a home is no better than a cold weapon and does not waste ammunition. For clearing locations, the knife is not worse, especially if the character is fighting, and the firearm takes 2 slots - one for him and one for cartridges. So they can be sold - in this way Roman pays off, we clean dangerous places, push weapons and sometimes we get a plus to karma. Without Roman, at least a supermarket with a soldier and a construction site are carried out without any problems (We make noise and wait under the stairs, as soon as we come down - we wet him with a knife. I passed Marco and was slightly injured or wounded.).
The production for sale pays off only for the drunkard and then if there is Bruno. As long as there is loot at locations, it makes sense to trade only with Franco or to buy something in short supply. Once again: do not rivet the drunkard to buy everything outside the home, while there is loot, i.e. the bottleneck is the bag of the bag! You spend the things you brought home to buy other things to bring home when you can carry them home for free.
Diseases / injuries:
In general, it is very important to crush all negative statuses in the bud (except for hunger, until he becomes very hungry - this is normal). In addition, some statuses can affect others, the statuses of some team members affect the mood of others (you can see how they are killed, thinking where to get medicine or bandages for a sick / wounded comrade). All in all, things are getting too complicated.
Everywhere we get pure alcohol, where we find it, because from one bottle on a mixing table 1 lvl. you can make a bandage or herbal medicine out of it, and to drive it yourself you need a university. workbench lvl 3 + 10 gears for the driver.
As soon as the characters become slightly sick - we feed them herbal medicines, we can make them ourselves, but on a more serious level, they do not work. Do not care with bandages.
If the character is simultaneously sick and wounded, we send him to the hospital. There, loot without theft with a backpack for 12 days is enough for 2.
Medicines can sometimes be bought from Franco or, in my opinion, in the garage. They are guaranteed to be available at the checkpoint and on the square (at the checkpoint, prices are better).
Wounded characters will have less HP at night. Even the "lightly wounded" status removes a lot of health, so it's better to go on a power sweep of locations completely healthy.
In summer, there are two problem periods: cold weather (when 5-6 firewood is used for heating) and when loot runs out everywhere and you have to trade. When the cold weather passes, the game is practically completed, by that time the horde is already self-sufficient in food, all the items are built. The cost of the grub is very low (2.5 components)
Characters:
Marco is the most helpful type. The backpack is 15 and runs normally - and most of the game, the bottleneck will be the backpack. Only Boris has more, but he has a brake and will not have time to clear the location and drag everything to the exit in one night.
Bruno - you do not need to build an improved stove, boiling a drunkard pays off well with it.
Katya is good with Bruno.
Roman - see above. In the Englishmen it is written that he wets all aggressive characters like crazy Bozena in a house for two families without any hesitation (I checked: you can't bang Bozena, and I really want to). Cleans almost any location with one knife. The tactic is as follows - we run, make noise, tick into the designated dark corners, wait for the NPC to turn his back. All. He does not fail. There are ** only ** problems when there are several NPCs and they do not lose sight of each other. The most expensive thing in the game is cartridges (even an assault rifle / armored vehicle cost as much as 10 cartridges), having carried out a couple of locations with armed people with Roman, you can fatten until the end of the game, buying up almost everything that Franco brings.
Needed not from the beginning of the game, unlike the first two.
Pavel is an absolutely useless type.
That's all for now.
