Strangely slows down (The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion)
I wanted to play Oblivion the other day. I installed and found strange brakes in the game that were not there before, literally half a year ago I installed the same version. During this time, the hardware did not change, only the system was changed from 32 to 64 bits. It slows down during combat and during dialogues. Even at the beginning, when the blades are fighting with the assassins, and you yourself do not participate, it slows down. As soon as the battle ends, everything flies again. It is the same at both the lowest and highest settings. What could be the case. On the forums they write that if the sound in the ini file is completely turned off, then the brakes disappear, but it's not serious to play without sounds at all ((. Help who may have encountered such a problem, maybe in other games?
Moon Hawk I had something similar 8 years ago, and also because of the sound, I used a sound card built into the motherboard, then I bought the cheapest Creative Sound Blaster and the brakes were gone.
Oblivion does not like highly detailed operating systems if everything was fine at 32 bits, then either fix the output or return Windows, although I would patch the game if I were you
