Windows 8 installation path

I can not understand where the tab went (when loading programs) where you could choose which folder to install the game into? Maybe this is due to the fact that there is only 1 hard drive C on the computer and there is no division into D?

Create a folder on the disk, for example Games and install games into it. But it is best to split the disk into two partitions and leave the system partitions alone.

From Steam, the game is automatically installed into the Steam folder created when the program was installed on the disk, in your case on the C drive. You can go to Steam and create a shortcut for the game on the desktop.
