The problem with glowing textures in the game (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)
Hello! In The Witcher, the following problem is observed - in the game, textures flicker with a characteristic lilac reflection, sometimes huge black squares creep onto the image, sometimes face textures flicker. The longer the gaming session, the more intense it all becomes, the textures flicker more often. This problem is observed only in the third Witcher. I am attaching a video showing this effect at 38 seconds. Please, if anyone encountered this problem, please help.If on a PC, then monitor the temperature of the video card in the game, run the test.
What kind of iron?
Solutions:
Reset overclocking if you were running a CPU or GPU.
Update drivers / wait for new update.
Increase the paging file if small.
Decrease texture resolution, detail, rendering.
Also try changing the AO shading setting, resolution.
Buy additional RAM if less than 8GB.
It all depends on what kind of iron. It must be indicated immediately!
Well, about iron, as it is indicated in the profile. GTX 660, AMd fx 8320 8 gb RAM. Winda is clean, recently installed from scratch. Of course, there are minor problems with heating, well, it's AMD. Heats up to 70-75 degrees.
the game is licensed, I play at 30 fps with medium-high graphics settings. I did not notice any drawdowns, so I settled on these settings. I repeat, this problem is only in the witcher

What does drawdown have to do with it? If the card doesn’t die, it’s more of a driver problem.
Try changing the AO shading setting, resolution, etc. .. This will eliminate the vulnerable algorithms.
Give me screenshots of your settings ..

In the driver settings, in the Nvidia control panel - there are different performance modes, you can set them specifically for the witcher ... At the bottom of the list there are several options that allow you to remove many artifacts, such as the appearance of colored spots or even flashing textures. You just need to configure the driver correctly.

If I knew what to change specifically. There I tried digging too, but it didn't help

There is a description for each option - expand the window to full screen and read. You will quickly figure out what's what.
Oh, these advisers))))) With a serious face, they advise absolute nonsense)) No one has ever suggested reinstalling the system? xD
I didn't have this blue border around the edges of the textures until I downloaded the latest addon and patch 1.21. They have lost something.
