DirectX SDK will launch the game?!?!

When starting the game, I get an error message:
Warning: Nothing will be rendered.
The reference rendering device was selected, but your computer only has a reduced-functionality reference device installed. Install the DirectX SDK to get the full reference device.
What does this mean and what can Mona do without downloading the SDK (160MB)?
Thanks in advance, I will consider all the tips.

I suspect the problem is with my GeForce MX 4, but using 3danalyzer didn't help. Maybe there is some kind of "trick"?

Check the boxes correctly in the analyzer. Experiment, and firewood - don't listen to them, for example, Silent Heal 3 starts playable on mx4 only with a certain version of outdated drivers. Use search.
