Races, classes and specializations (Legend of Grimrock 2)

I would like to hear practical advice on this topic from players who have passed the game.

For example, the game has such a class as "farmer". Has anyone used such a character? How good is he at the job?
How well or poorly did the character perform with the firearm? Any comments on it?
Should you download the magic of the earth? As I understand it, the magic of fire "rules".
The alchemist seems to be helping a lot - is it worth pumping alchemy to him at +5 first? And then pump something else.
On another site I read this: you only need to feed the cheese to the rat, and the turtle eggs to the lizardman, for a certain amount of such food they add random stats. Other races probably have their own "favorite" foods. Has anyone checked if this is really so?

Farmer is essentially useless, but he is pumped from the consumption of food, so you can swing faster than other characters. It should be borne in mind that the farmer does not receive 2 skill points at the beginning of the game, so this is a dubious class.

Firearms consume cartridges, they cannot be lifted after use, such as arrows, dart knives, meurikens and others. For the entire passage, having climbed about 80-90% of the map, I found about 500 cartridges so that you count only 500 shots per game that you still need to find. Closer to the middle of the game, you can knock out the ship cannon from the boss, it seems like you can pick up cannonballs from it, I might be wrong if you correct something.

Earth magic works well with other types of magic, for example, ice thorns, plus you can poison the enemy quite well. My preference was fire and air, we get a fireball, a meteor shower, a fire shield (which is important against some opponents), plus you can use air if the enemy has resistance to fire.

The alchemist is an excellent class, his huge advantage is the growth of plants in the bag, for example, having one mushroom for the HP potion, you may have a second one in your bag, also with other plants. Alchemy for 5+ makes it possible to craft potions to increase dex / str / vit / will, for 4 you will get the opportunity to brew large potions of hp and mana. Immediately at 5, I think there is no point in downloading, it is better to invest a couple of points in the weapon that you will use.

Yes, stats increase from cheese and eggs. The chance is about 10-20%. Throughout the game I fed only my rat with cheese.

If we talk about the distribution of races and classes, then:
Man is a universal, you can choose any class. Insectoid Battlemage / Wizard. Minotaur Barbarian / Knight / Fighter. Rat Alchemist / Horns. Lizard Alchemist / Horns.
It is worth noting that a person swings faster by 10%, while you can take a talent that will give another + 10%. The rat has a great mutation talent, when you get lvl, +1 is randomly added to the stats. In a lizard, this is a fast metabolism, adding 30% to the regeneration of mana and hp. The minotaur has a skull collector, finding skulls in the game and carrying them in a bag, from each you will receive +1 str.
