The replayability
BIOSHOCK
BIOSHOCK 2
some of the most replayable shooters and racing
Logically if, the replayability of the game is made according to the recipe Diablo. Another thing is that this is a sad way...
I guess RPG is the most replayability of the genre, and the Western style, since the Japanese are too tied to the main plot and outcome differences between passes is minimal.
And the non-replayability - game with the same type of in-line gameplay: pure shooters, racing, adventure...
Only that it is too conditional, as soon as it comes in human factor: people are able to conquer the same levels and achievements in any way possible, pulling a pair of points for the top of the table, or trying to see all the isolation of any intermediate, but sentimental episode.
So probably we can assume that everything is decided by 2 main elements: persistence of the player and mainly the skill of the authors that can pull other pliable imagination on the unpredictable long term.
As an example we can take at least the same Uncharted 2 (her fans have all pretty pissed off, that is a good illustration for the previous paragraph): because Lineinaya game, few levels short, puzzles are similar, enemies are infinitely stupid, the ending is a definite... and there are people playing for months!
Because beautiful, cinematic and relatively fresh compared to the bulk; because the writers have calculated the plot to the characters to empathize, to important moments were stunning and decorated externally and psychologically, and every event detail has had its interesting features. Well, the designers have done a great job most of the locations, and vision in humans - the main organ of perception, after all ;)
From offline games, this of course Skyrim and Stalker. The fashion of them are still made.
Most replayability - GTA III, Mafia, Fallout 2, World of Warcraft, Gothic, Gulman, GTA San Andreas. Prigranichnye - Left 4 Dead 2, Minecraft, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
