Found this option on the nexus:
Make a backup of the save
Disable Steam Cloud in the game settings Resident Evil 8.
Restart Steam offline and disconnect the Internet.
Run in RE8 and create a new save.
Replace the win64_save folder with my save.
Run in RE8 and test the new save work.
Turn on the internet, start Steam normally and turn on sync - the new data should be synced to the cloud.
