Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Played the Need for Speed Shift on a Windows7 . Reinstalled the OS supplied Windows8.1 and the game started. installed it again same problem. How to be?

Probably forgot to put some necessary for the game software. So often - always something I forget to put after reinstalling windows and does not find this out until another error or will refuse to run the program.
