Cyberpunk

Do you believe in the cyberpunk genre? I recently played 1 part of Deus Ex and I wonder if humanity will develop the same way as in the game, is it good? What is your opinion?

I think that if cyberpunk does come, it will not be as soon as it is shown in games and films. Maybe in the year 2100, but I still hope that I will live to see the cyber dudes)
