SH2 is better than SH1 in the opinion of the majority, you can take a look at the poll ...
Alone in the Dark 4 is an interesting game, I admit it, but for example, the same Cold Fear is a good replacement.

Honestly, I did not play Alone in the Dark 4, but I have Cold Fear, and I can confidently say that she is able to replace only the same Dino Crisis 2, only more atmospheric. Although there, too, after 10 minutes, with the usual movement, you shoot all the heads, and you do not bathe (and in Dino Crisis 2 you dodge and shoot, but it somehow survives anyway). And the first Dino crisis is better than all the Residents (though I didn't play the 4th).

It's not about age. I missed RE1-3 and MGS1 at one time, and recently just for fun bought an xbox and ps2 - and then I was covered. A good game is a good game, just like a good movie or book. This is a way to relax and have fun. Any age.
