Not all good games / books / movies / etc. with a good atmosphere, there is a well-thought-out universe of its own, in fact, not even everyone needs it. Take the same Anchik, a wonderful game, a good movie, etc., but in fact there is no universe of its own, and there is no need for it. For that you can take a thread of Elder Scroles or FallOut, here it seems like there are no special characters from part to part, no plots wandering, but at the same time there is a well-thought-out world with its own laws and logic, legends, etc., that allows the universe to develop from part to part ...

I think there was nothing better than Mass Effect in this generation, and there will obviously not be any more in terms of the universe. There is, of course, Creed, but all the same, not such a giant level of creativity is invested in the universe, in fact, just a lot of effort is invested in recreating historical events in the first place. As for the games in general, it's hard to tell right away, but you can remember them. For example, Silent Hill has a strong universe. Not that I like her more than Resident Evil, but in fact, in RE, characters are in the first place, and in SH they can be changed without any problems without losing the essence of what is happening. And also Pokemon, well, everything is clear here.
