Reasoning on 3D and 2D in games
In Castlevania: Dracula X on PSP, nothing disappears anywhere [/ quote] Ingeneral, it is 2D with 3D effects. And PoP too.
[b] ACE [/ b], Objects of the environment can be 3D, but this does not make the game three-dimensional. The movement is very 2D (top, bottom, left, right).
[b] SoulGrabber [/ b], 2D with 3D effects - this is not a pop classic, express your thoughts correctly :)
Where is 2D with 3d effects?
SoulGrabber got it right, but the thought is wrong. both Castlevania: DXC and PoP: C are fully 3D. And the game mechanics in them are two-dimensional.
The new castle and the Prince in full 3D in isometric view, that is, a side view. This will be the most accurate :).

Full 3D would be if he was running not only back and forth, but also skimming and turning around, approached your ass.
full 3D in isometric [/ quote]
o_O You yourself understood what you said?
New castle and Prince in full 3D in isometric view, that is, a side view. This will be most accurate [/ quote] Bugaga. Isometric is Diablo or killzone: liberation there.
Even I did not notice the movement of the hero in the 3rd space. Full 3D was if he was running not only back and forth, but also noddingly and turning around, came up to you with his ass [/ quote] Read my post.
If I start walking only left and right, will I become two-dimensional?
And, if you follow your logic, then almost all races are also two-dimensional (except for some Motorstorm and the like) - after all, there cars also move in only two dimensions.
Both games are 3D, but with 2D gameplay mechanics.
[b] SoulGrabber [/ b], 3D refers to graphics, not the camera and movement of the hero.
if you keep the "W" key pressed all the time and do not touch the mouse, will doom 3 also become 2de with tride effects? : crazy:
with two-dimensional gameplay mechanics [/ quote]
This is where I'm going. It doesn't matter what kind of animation of backrands, Persians and effects. The main gameplay itself is pure 2D :)
[b] SoulGrabber [/ b], how then to understand the phrase "2de with 3de effects"?
gameplay is "2de with 3de effects"? : confused:: crazy:
let's not clog the topic, better create some thread a separate topic for this, where is the thread in the chatter :)
isometric is the position of the camera, which does not prevent the game from having 3D models and effects
[b] ACE [/ b],
the gameplay is "2de with 3de effects"? [/ quote]
No, no need to exaggerate. I made it clear that 3D effects do not make a 2-dimensional game 3-dimensional.
super paper Mario 2d and 3d blend perfectly together [/ quote]
That's yes. The game is divided into 2D and 3D. Those who do not understand what I wrote above - I advise you to play SPM (well, or watch videos on the edge) ...
yes we know we are super paper mario.
2D camera and movement do not make the game two-dimensional. they make the camera and movement two-dimensional, while the graphics themselves remain tride, if done in tride.
[b] ACE [/ b], I'll cry now :)
2D
