Kojima's interview on his role in the development of the new Zone of the Enders: The
announcement on Friday of the Enders project, a sequel to ZOE and Anubis, was announced by Hideo Kojima, but as he himself admitted, his role in development is limited. In a Twitter post over the weekend, Kojima said that since he is currently busy with his "Ogre Project", he will co-produce the Enders project, so to speak. He will only play the role of an assistant dealing with such areas of the game as the game direction and planning its further development. The design of the game, the script, the events in the game, as well as the design of the levels, and so on, will be dealt with by its employees.

While Kojima announced that he would effectively co-produce the game, it was also announced that Ryosuke Toriyama would be brought in as a producer.
Kojima also tried to explain that some of them have observed possible changes from past ZOE games.

With Project Enders, they are not planning to change the feel of the game, Kojima explained. The game has two directions: one of them is the direction of the previous parts of the ZOE, namely "Japanimation SF Robot" style, the other direction is the action in the open world, as in: X-Men, Batman and Spiderman.

Not necessarily aiming for photo realism, this is what is optimal for the in-game Fox Engine.
ZOE fans don't need to worry about too drastic changes in the game, however, Kojima noted that several of his staff members have the spirit of "SF" (Since Fiction) alive, so everything they do is probably taken from anime with mechs.
