The game that won't come out. A world we won't return to. The best vampire game franchise and one of the best non-Nintendo adventure games. Favorite, by many, a game on PS1 ... you can talk endlessly, so I create this theme and call it the Wailing Wall!
From myself, here's what I want to say:
The show was far from perfect. The ending is controversial, and the second Blood Omen should be forgotten like a bad dream. At that, a lot of time has passed, which, in principle, is suitable for a good restart of the series. Yes, fans like me can't please, but that's not a reason not to do anything. And if the project became Mordor about vampires, then I would be in the forefront who would throw money at the monitor.

Thanks to the efforts of users from the NeoGAF website, over the past year, we managed to find out a lot of interesting information about the canceled game, and the information continues to be updated from time to time.
Let's consider some of the features of the game that are key or simply the most interesting:
Plot:
Gameplay:
Interesting facts about the 32-minute video:
One of the ghosts of the past, a merchant, says that he sells goods from Willendorf. Wilendorf is a huge city from Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (1996) that was never mentioned again in the series. The murder of Escher, presented as a senseless massacre, but organized by higher powers, resembles the murder of Cain the human, committed by bandits on the orders of the necromancer Mortanius; Throwing Gein into the water, then falling and dissolving his flesh is a direct reference to the intro of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (1999). Devouring souls, the underworld, decaying lands, evolving vampires, smog-hidden skies and a hopeless future - all of these themes originate from the classic PlayStation game. In the video, Gein is holding a sword that outwardly bears a strong resemblance to the physical blade Soul Thief. Seems to be, the developers considered Dead Sun as the ideological successor to Soul Reaver; The echoes of crowded cities and markets, the bandits defending human civilization, are reminiscent of the city of Meredian from Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 (2002). The green glow around one of the most powerful enemies in the cutscene is very similar to the destructive energy of Hilden - when they took possession of their victim.
According to one of the authors, the game was canceled due to its ambitiousness and scale of the game, with little funding and a developer studio.

thanks for not
this is still not what I would like from a sequel
I should have called the Legacy of Kain Series theme. And Dead Sun, by the way, does not look so canonical to cry over him. Canceled, well, to hell with him.
At least this suggests that attempts to create a singleplayer game in the series continue.

I love this game. Don't forget anything.

The circle is closed, what is there to continue?
and the second Blood Omen should be forgotten like a bad dream
I love this game. Don't forget anything.
Well, I liked the gameplay, but the plot is a fierce hell.
there were tough plot inconsistencies with the entire series. for example, Vorodor and other vampires. They all died the same. Therefore, the columns collapsed. And then all the rules. As if the authors of BO2 did not play the previous games of the series and even knew nothing about the plot)))))
but the game was pretty atmospheric and Cain was such a sweetheart: gigi:
[member = ACE], well, there seems to be an alternative branch, after the events cf2. Henning then plugged some of the holes in the def.
Cain is such a sweetheart [/ quote] And also a weakling and even really didn't know how to jump ... no, I can definitely say that BO2 is the worst part of the series. I want a reboot of the series from the first part, Blood Omen: Legasy of Kain! Frost on the ass! [member = 'Lex Mercer'], well, even if you reboot, it is clearly not in the form of an empty open world as in Mordor
I already wrote in the thread what game it would be nice to get: "But a separate game about, for example, Raziel before he was turned by Kain and after that, before the events of Soul River, that is, to play Raziel and a human and a vampire, and then a winged a vampire before Kayn threw him into the abyss. "
BO2 is the worst part of the series.
so BO2 in general some kind of left-handed game was and not like a canon even. I remember on Ps2 there was also some kind of pirate in French onley)

did not look at all in the spirit of the old games of the series, for me there is nothing to be sad about
here is a remake of the first parts on a cool engine, I would not mind
Crap BO2. Okay, there was a normal stmpunk the masquerade. And there were revealed some important nuances regarding the sundress. Perhaps you need to replay the series.
I wonder how much money they need to complete the project, they would throw it on kickstarter, maybe the players could finance it.

No brand rights, no advertising money.
The protagonist will be a unique creature, a vampire in which, after some events, another soul settled, now there are two souls in the hero's body, the soul of a vampire (Gain) and human (Escher); [/ quote]

They are there Legacy of GTA going to do? : icon_lol:
Xs, but more than once I was convinced that in the overwhelming majority of cases, large size is a disadvantage for the game. No, there are specialists in the industry who know how to master such areas - Bethesda, Ubisoft, Rockstar <Rocksteady. But it takes a budget and years of practice. It was easier to make a game in size like the first Risen. To bury everything and everyone with secrets and let the vampire into the garden ...
