Missing companion Crump (Encased)

After I completed chapter 1, and entered the vortex emulator itself (my partner Crump was with me). After the emulator I disappeared, I can't find it, I have already gone far in the plot, but I never found it

You need to talk to him (like any other companion) in the hall at the entrance to the Emulator.
