You need to set the lighting to ultra, globally whatever you want, then everything will be fine.

I had the same problem with shadows. I installed SMAA anti-aliasing and it became normal.

Problem 1. Black screen at startup.
Solution options:
- run from admin
- pull out all unnecessary USB devices

Problem 2. Nothing is visible in the shadows
Solution options:
- Change the shadow quality settings to maximum or low
- Change HBAO + (SSBC) to SSAO

Problem 3. Russian language disappeared
Solution options:
- in the game folder in the data_win32 directory, delete 2 files with a name like _inglish
- run through the "FC4Launcher.exe" launcher

Problem 4. No card
Solution options:
- Delete patch.dat and patch.fat from the data_win32 folder

Problem 5. Complains about the absence xml file
