Kameo Element of Power

Does anyone remember how to beat the boss (probably one of the first) who guards the door (the troll is huge)? there you have to drop the chandeliers - I dropped all 3 chandeliers, but missed .. how to kill him without them? Or is there some other way to open the door behind him? : confused:
