Horse management (Red Dead Redemption 2)

Friends, can you tell me if you can drive two horses at the same time in the game, as in single player mode?
I have two horses in the stable, but I cannot ride one, so that the second one will gallop after me at my call, so that I can load animal carcasses on it while I cannot buy a hunter's carriage :(
