I can't say anything. Many other mods that work for my friend on the same version of the game - it’s not working for me for some reason.

Most likely the cache is worth checking. Broken files while downloading patches is normal behavior for Paradoxes.
If a pirate, then different crack. Two different cracks have their own code, they always hit something.
If the problem is not in the crack / cache of the license, then the mod is not adjusted for this or that patch and conflicts with the code (Most often), or you have a different version of the mods.
