Replaying missions on Android (Grand Theft Auto 3)

I went through missions, did not touch anyone. Phone assignments appeared again. I took one, and there is a race again. I thought it was another one, but when I heard the first word, I realized that it was a repeat. Moreover, reaching the same place, the car exploded. This is definitely not an anti-piracy cheat, as it would have worked on the first playthrough. I'm just sorry to give up some of the missions because of one. What to do?
