Contra IV

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced Contra IV (working title) for the Nintendo DS to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its acclaimed TV series.

The game will be in 2D, the action will take place on two screens at once, promising especially spectacular and interesting boss fights. There will also be a cooperative for two people. Like the good old days.

Estimated release date 2007.

There are no screenshots yet, but here's a splash screen for one of my all-time favorite games on the NES.
