Mortal blow / Critical blow
Mortal blow (DS) and Critical Strike (CS) have a chance to double your physical damage.
They apply to both melee and ranged attacks, but not to spells.
They do not apply to Impale, Dragon Talon, Dragon Tail, Dragon Flight, Sacrifice or Smite
They really work with Blade Traps.
Skills that convert Physical damage to another type (Magic, Fire and Cold Arrows, Lightning Strike, Fists of Fire, Berserker, Concentrate and Frenzy (with synergy with Berserker)) do this after applying DS or CS, so the converted damage is twice.
They will change your final physical damage with Vengeance, but have * no * effect on the Elemental damage caused by Vengeance.
Deadly Strike sources stack apart from weapons that are not being used to land that particular strike.
The various types of Critical Strike * do not * stack (e.g. Barbaric Weapon Mastery and Amazon Critical Strike).
It makes no sense to have more than 100% DS / CS probability.
Critical Strike and Mortal Strike have the same mechanics, and only one of them can be triggered on any attack (so the player cannot take 4x damage).
Open Wounds
This is a chance to cause the monster to bleed uncontrollably. They lose health when bleeding. Open Wounds items stack in most cases.

Duration: 200 frames (i.e. 8 seconds).

The damage per frame looks like this (where Clvl is the level of the attacker, that is, usually the level of the player):

Clvl = 1-15: (9 * Clvl + 31) / 256
Clvl = 16-30: (18 * Clvl-104) / 256
Clvl = 31-45: (27 * Clvl-374) / 256
Clvl = 46-60: (36 * Clvl-779) / 256
Clvl = 61-99: (45 * Clvl-1319) / 256
If you prefer per second, just multiply by 25:
Clvl = 1-15: 25 * (9 * Clvl + 31) / 256
Clvl = 16-30: 25 * (18 * Clvl-104) / 256
Clvl = 31-45 : 25 * (27 * Clvl-374) / 256
Clvl = 46-60: 25 * (36 * Clvl-779) / 256
Clvl = 61-99: 25 * (45 * Clvl-1319) / 256
Some examples:
Clvl 10: 11.8 per second for 8 seconds, for a total of 94.5 damage. Clvl 30: 42.6 per second for 8 seconds, total 340.6 damage. Clvl 50: 99.7 per second for 8 seconds, total 797.7 damage. Clvl 70: 178.8 per second for 8 seconds, for a total of 1430.5 damage. Clvl 90: 266.7 per second for 8 seconds for a total of 2133.6 damage.

In addition, the damage to the player's target is divided by 4. Also, for the missile against the player's target, the damage should be divided by 8 instead.

Finally, against bosses and champions (maybe just bosses or special bosses), the damage is divided by 2.

You can get up to 100% chance of open wounds. Anything above 100% is discarded.

Crushing Blow
This is a chance to reduce the monster's health by X% in one hit. -Default

:
1/4 -vs. Players:
1/10 against. Mercenaries:
1/10 against. Champions, Unique Abilities, Bosses: 1/8
- Rocket Weapons, Default: 1/8
- Rocket Weapons, Against Players:
1/20 - Rocket Weapons, Against Mercenaries: 1/20
- Rocket Weapons, Against Champions , Unique Abilities, Bosses: 1/16
The number of lives removed also depends on the number of players. Thus, if a monster has 450% more lives due to 8 players (or another value), the removed number of lives is additionally reduced by the same amount (450% is multiplied by 4.5, so the number of lives removed using Crushing Blow , is divisible by 4.5.).
You can get up to 100% chance for Crushing Blow. Anything above 100% is discarded.
Physical resistance does apply to Crushing Blow damage, but only if resistance is positive.
Blunt strike items stack in most cases.
Starting from version 1.10 Crushing Blow is calculated before your normal damage. So, before you deal the damage that you normally do, there is a chance that you will reduce the monster's health by X%, then the normal damage will be applied to the lower life level received. If you have more than one Crushing Blow item, chances will be added. There will be one random Crushing Blow check. There is no check for each individual item, so you cannot get multiple Crushing Strikes in a single attack.
