This is an old game, it is not designed for a couple of hours to play and skip. There are a million mechanics here that you won't even notice on the first playthrough, here no one writes to you at every boot "if you want to kill the enemy, beat him." Say thank you that at least there is a respec of skills / stats and there is no hours-long process of character creation as in non-winters or baldurs gate.
