Swedish publisher Starbreeze shared the details of the upcoming Payday 3 during the series' 10th anniversary stream. Little was said about the game, but there were still interesting moments on the broadcast.
- The plot of Payday 3 will unfold some time after the events of the second part, and the main characters will again be Dallas, Wolfe, Hoxton and Chains, who decided to "retire."
- The location of the shooter will be New York. According to Starbreeze, the team strives to make the environment realistic so that players experience a "large-scale urban environment."
- Over the past time, the Payday world has moved to the "digital" era, which will affect the available gadgets, opportunities and enemies.
The Swedish studio Overkill is developing Payday 3. The exact release date of the game is still unknown, but Starbreeze and Koch Media plan to release it before the end of 2023.
Starbreeze previously stated that the development of Payday 3 has already been fully funded.
