[member = 'dozensnake'], [member = 'youtoome'], they also said it was free
the names have not yet been said, they just say anril tourament. if they say that I will correct it.
[member = 'ACE'], he even specifically emphasized and said: it is free, not free to play
[quote name = 'ACE' timestamp = '1399573044' post = '4127830'] they also said it was free [/ quote]
They said he was free.
They were asked
-Game f2p or fries?
They have replyed.
-Friy.
f2p is a free base with microtransactions (skins, maps, etc.)
free is a free platform (compatible with mods that do not require payment), but most likely there will be some kind of paid subscription that allows you to host servers, etc. (like in quake live)
[member = 'ACE'], to simplify:
paid skins versus paid subscription for dedicated servers
paid skins versus paid subscription for dedicated servers
Here it is, paid skins, camouflage for weapons, hats, etc., this is F2P. You won't leave on one lease of servers, they will have to beat the loot, just now they were afraid to say F2P because there will be anger from everyone, players with all sorts of different services.
Modified May 8, 2014 by NetSky[member = 'NetSky'], there will be no f2p, they said it clearly
money will be beaten off by the sale of the engine
the game can be considered a demonstration of UE4
[quote name = 'NetSky' timestamp = '1399573750' post = '4127888'] You won't leave on one lease of servers [/ quote]
Quake still lives
[member = 'ACE'], I simplified, wrote the same
[quote name = 'ACE' timestamp = '1399573777' post = '4127891'] in f2p games, are they only paid for skins? [/ quote] various microtransactions
skins, experience boosts, weapons (well, or a tank, for example)
[member = 'NetSky'], the epic can afford and not pump out the hard money, since they have a lot of money, so it is dripping from the sales of games on the ye3 and 4 engine, and so on.
the sadness is that they do not have a game and there is talk about creating a super project with the community. as if they are afraid to make a normal game or they have no talent for it. In general, we will not see the game soon.

Well, of course, and during the development campaign, you will pay them their salaries and others. What do you believe in fairy tales, what is the first time the Internet appeared today? I don’t remember such a cool free alms, all projects that are free, after all, they’re pumping out money, this is a business, and now what he said you can not even take into account, we’ll see when the game comes out and passes a few months, and so yes, you can run on gratuitousness and manna from heaven.

Tournaments and advertising there. Whatever one may say, the money still goes.
