The third game in the series was developed by Techland "for the next generation of consoles and PCs." It's a "first-person shooter with a deep and mature storyline," apparently.
"Players can look forward to a journey like no other - the game will take them from downtown Los Angeles, California, to Juarez, Mexico."
In addition to the announcement, Caroline Stevens from Ubisoft said: “Call of Juarez The Cartel is a futuristic shooter with a strong storyline, interesting characters and a wide variety of gameplay.

It's strange, at first Techland released fierce thrash metal, then in 2006 they unexpectedly released the first CoJ, which was generally an ok game, but with a number of fatal errors in game design, then in 2009 there was Coj 2, which was just an ok game and which almost all the flaws in the original and exactly two years later Techland are releasing even more fierce thrash metal than at the beginning of their career, where is the logic? Take small steps to rise up from the very bottom, so that later, when the goal is already quite close, stumble and fall even lower than you were initially. : facepalm:
