We have determined a release date for the next update. The 2021 Winter Update is slated to release at approximately 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm Japan Standard Time on Wednesday, December 15th. (Timing subject to change)
This update will bring the following content:
1) New weapon type "Katana" that many players have been waiting for! The special "Spot" move can be performed while using a katana!
2) There will be new field bosses "Fafnir" and "Giant Worm"! After defeating them, you will receive various rewards such as new weapons and new accessories!
3) New car "Biplane", in which you can fly across the sky at high speed!
4) The new "Fishing" system allows you to use a fishing net to obtain various items from the shadows of fish scattered across the ocean!
Together with them, we will add new weapons and new furniture!
Be patient and look forward to the next major update! The alpha version of Craftopia will also be updated.

Recently Added Content
A new Fishing System has been added .
You can use the "Cast Net" item on the "Fish Shadow" in the sea to get various items.
The "Fish Shadow" can be detected using the "Detector" item.
You will receive additional items if you do this in the morning (from 3 to 21 game time).
"Fish Shadow" may disappear after receiving items, but will appear in a different location.
Note that the following maps do not include "Fish Shadow".

Chill: Reduced movement speed and attack speed due to extreme cold.

A new field boss, Fafnir, has arrived.
Fafnir appears to be sealed by paladins on "Big Bridge Island" with an island level of 5 or higher.
Until you damage the unsealed Fafnir, he will just sleep soundly, but as soon as he wakes up, he will show his evil fangs.
The amount of poison or hellfire that equipment can apply is now displayed on the item details screen.

Overview
Switching between "Draw Stance" and "Return Stance" allows you to brilliantly "detect" an enemy attack and deal massive damage.
Its controls and movement are a bit tricky, and you can't count on firepower unless you master the Spot action. The Detect
Specialties
will be activated when you complete The Returning Sword, Iai A, and Iai Dash A.
If you get hit by an enemy during Spotting, you will not take damage from the attack and you will receive Spotting buff.
You will be invincible during the combo (as long as the blue effect appears) after successfully "spotting" the attack.
An additional combo can be triggered while you have Detect Buff.
You can perform powerful actions like Single Strike and Swordsmanship while consuming Detection Boost.
"Detect Buff" can be stacked up to 6 pieces.
Spotting a buff will increase the damage of your melee skill by up to 15% based on the number of stacked Spotting Buffs.
The Dodge Action skill cannot be performed.
If you use Lightning Speed, Piece of Cake, and Iai Slash in Returning Stance, the skill will execute faster and return to Returning Stance at the end. Standby L

Recommended Skills
Two-Handed: A required skill to equip a katana.
Added the skill "Freezing Ray", which can freeze enemies.
Added the skill "Samurai", which is intended exclusively for katana.
The maximum level of players has been increased to 60. Completing the special mission will unlock the maximum level.
A new boss will appear on the "Islands of Fire and Sand" land above a certain island of Ur.
Most of the enemies now doze off sometimes.
Added new elite "Induce".
Place land mines to mitigate long range attacks.
Added a new type of advanced elite.
At island level 5 and above, when an advanced elite emerges, there is a definite chance that they will evolve into a more powerful super elite.
The Horse pet can now jump.
The following mobs can be tamed as pets.

Each pet has the following special abilities:
Anubis: Apply a buff to increase the amount of experience gained.
Stone Golem: Sometimes apply a buff to increase your defense.
Kraken: Apply a buff that increases the rate of mana consumption, but sometimes reduces the cooldown of skills;.
Lonewolf: Occasionally apply a DEF reduction debuff to enemies when Lonewolf attacks.
Added "Hellish Chicken" pet. They use the power of hell to produce materials that can sometimes empower other pets.
Missions to expand cloud storage have been added, and you can expand your cloud storage with Mission rewards.
Added two new challenges. This can happen when you open a new island with an island of level 4 or higher.
Added the skill "Cyclone". This wind magic will chop, drawing in many enemies.
Added the skill "Absorb food". This skill allows you to efficiently assimilate food from foods.
Added the skill "Piece of cake".

You can now set a password and maximum number of players when you host multiplayer.
Balance adjustment
Adjusted the experience required to level up and the experience that can be gained from enemies.
This change addresses the issue that it took a significant amount of time to level up after and around the middle of the game.
We're focusing on clearing dungeons and defeating bosses to make the change. It will be easier for you to reach the next level when you defeat the bosses.
Adjusted the rules regarding the amount of experience gained from enemies. The amount of experience gained will vary depending on the level of the player's character.
Divide bosses into groups according to their inner strength. The more powerful they are, the more experience you can get from them.
(ex: King Mono is not that strong, so he gives a little less experience, and the Dragon gives more).
Also divide the mobs into groups according to their strength.
(for example: Mono gives less experience, and Crocodile gives more).
Set the recommended level for each island along with the settings above. You will receive less experience if the player's character level is higher than the recommended one.
Leveling up will take longer than before, especially at the beginning of the game.
Adjusted the amount of experience gained for completing missions.
The one-handed sword crafted with Unlimited Fake Blade can no longer be offered in the picture book.
Reduced the amount of materials needed to craft Firearms.
Increased the number of cannon ammo that can be crafted in one go.
Adjusted the balance of durability between vehicles along with adjustments to the lifespan of vehicles.
The Bonfire item could only be crafted at the workbench, but now you can craft it from your inventory.
But some of the crafting tools that could be crafted from the inventory can only be crafted at the workbench.
The rank setting for Low and Dark Wooden Item Stand was incorrect and has been changed to the correct value.
Holy Water can now heal Confusion.
The likelihood of the Meteorites falling has increased significantly.
The Hand Wash enchant will no longer spawn from treasure chests.
The handling of the Wooden Hoverboard has been adjusted to be lower than that of the Hoverboard.
Improved handling of the Hoverboard on water.
Corrected the behavior of some vehicles.
Increasing the level of the Hellfire skill now slightly reduces the mana consumption.
Increased damage from dual weapons. In particular, the damage from Dive Slash and Ground Rush has been significantly increased.

Functional improvements
You can now switch between secondary weapons by holding the Dash key (Shift on your keyboard, GamePat R3) and using the hotkeys.
Characters that cannot be used in filenames can no longer be used in character names.
Changed items that cannot be pressed for a long time in the Quick Access Toolbar, and now it will be used at the moment the button is pressed.
Selecting an advanced craft item in creative mode will also display a list of the lower level craft item.
Improved navigation for selecting items with gamepads in inventory. The Down button will no longer skip selecting items in the stack.
Now, when you open a Level 1 Island for the first time, "People's Islands" will always be displayed.

The deeper, the stronger the enemies will be! This may seem difficult to you, since some floors may differ from the usual battlefield.
• Scroll of Enchantment
You can use the "Scroll of Enchantments" to apply specific enchantments to a weapon of your choice. You will receive Enchant Scrolls as a Boss Rush dungeon reward first. We are considering adding other ways to get Scrolls of Enchantment in time for the release of the seamless map update.
Of course, we are working on other things as well, such as weapons, furniture, pets, bug fixes and quality of life changes!

A: The weather system is a difficult topic to discuss. Adding a damage bonus to a certain weather technically means adding a debuff to other weather conditions. We want to avoid terrible effects like "you can't use fire in the rain!" or "You're sick because you got caught in the rain!"
A good example of a weather system would be "you don't need to water your crops on a rainy day".
We plan to add such small benefits to the weather.â€
Q: Will you be adding a room concept along with the weather system?
A: We didn't plan it. We know that many games have the concept of a room, but most of them have some drawbacks. We don't want to make it tense by adding the concept of a room.
Q: What will the mineral deposits look like? Will they stay on the ground or will they only appear in the cave?
A: Mineral deposits can be seen in the same places as the current Craftopia.
But the structure and location of the deposits may vary depending on the biomes or the development of the game. For example, many copper deposits are located around collapsed rocks.
Q: Will minerals like adamantite be used for other purposes?
A: The variety of minerals and ingots is too wide, and we want to understand them with a seamless map update. After that, some minerals and ingots can be removed.
Q: Will we be able to extract Salt from the ocean?
A: Not only salt, there are many things that we really need but are hard to get. We will fix the situation with a seamless map update.
Q: Will there be any plan to deal with depletable resources such as wood, minerals and treasure chests?
A: Some resources are limited and deplete by design. But we can add ways to get some items that are crucial to the gameplay.
Q: There was a limit on the number of automation elements. Will there be any solution to this problem when the seamless map update goes live?
A: Automation is something we definitely can't miss. We will put a lot of effort after the map size is corrected. Please wait for a future announcement.
Q: Will there be some kind of system that allows us to transport items and mobs over long distances?
A: In the current Craftopia, only conveyor belt vehicles are available. We are discussing and planning to add other transportations.
But the priority now is to create a seamless map. We'll post a development status report as soon as it's defined and ready to be shown.
Q: Will you be adding a useful feature that makes it easier to store and use items efficiently?
A: (e.g. storing items or using items from nearby storage like in Terraria; spacious chest with sorting function, expanding existing cloud storage). We are aware of the storage issue and are taking it seriously. We think if we can solve this problem fundamentally.
Q: Will vehicles and pets have their own inventory?
A: The idea itself is being discussed with the dev team, although we've already added Fast Travel, which makes returning items much easier. Adding inventory is hard both in terms of performance and in terms of the development process. We will carefully consider this.
Q: The scale of the world will become larger, and players will need to move a greater distance than before. Will you add new vehicles and customize their cross-country ability?
A: We will tweak vehicles and add Fast Travel to make exploring the Seamless Map less stressful.
Q: It was quite difficult to drive vehicles in Craftopia. Will you fix it?
A: Driving vehicles is not logical and we need to think carefully before making drastic changes.
We notice that the current Craftopia has terrains with bumps and slopes. We could add a wide road for vehicles to make it easier to drive vehicles.
Q: Will you improve the dungeon selection system?
A: We have made changes to the dungeons. Each dungeon has unique tricks and bosses. They are completely different from the current dungeons right from the beginning to the very end, and the bosses are the same style.
Q: Will the map be random or fixed?
A: We make one fixed card. We considered a randomly generated map early in development, although when story is important it's better to use a fixed map.
Q: If it's fixed, will you add a new one with DLC or future updates?
O, sure. But creating a seamless map is our top priority.
Q: Will you make terrain modifiable?
A: For this to happen, we need to redesign the entire system. Re-development will take a lot of time, so we decided to use immutable landscapes.
Q: How many times will the seamless map be larger than the current map?
A: It's just a few dozen times larger in size. But its height and the new content added to the map make it seem wider and more to explore, we reckon.
Q: We can't find anything underwater. Will we be able to dive deeper to collect resources or build underwater?
A: We want you to enjoy ground gameplay for now.
But we are experimenting with caves to give you different experiences. If many players strongly want it, we will consider whether we can do it.
Q: What will happen to the current save data?
A: Some save data can be very difficult to transfer, but we planned for the current Craftopia to be playable even after a seamless map update.
Q: Will you add seasonal events?
A: We want the event to have limited furniture or seasonal pets in different colors. We'd love to do it, but it's less of a priority. Adding furniture can be relatively easier, so it's more likely to happen.
Q: Will you be alpha testing the Seamless Map Update on an official multiplayer server?
A: We are considering it.
Q: Will you be testing seamless map updates this year?
A: We'd like to run a test at some point in development, but it's not defined yet. I don't want to put too much pressure on the development team.
