The game periodically stops executing scripts of colonists and robots.
Therefore, colonists and robots sometimes just get stuck where and cannot move, sometimes they even get stuck in walls or in narrow passages. Or outside and therefore die. So you need to constantly monitor them.
Save often - F5
If you notice that they are stupidly running or standing where they are not moving. Then save F5 and immediately press F9 or restart the game. And everything moves on.
And in general, if you save F5 more often and reboot F9 immediately, there will be fewer problems.
