Frontier Sector Range (Stellaris)

So, finally, I learned how to find border sectors on the map. But I have not learned to determine their radius. I want to demolish it so as not to waste resources.
But I don’t know if I’ll lose my buildings - if the colony at the neighboring star will overwhelm them.

In general, how to determine the range of a colony / border post / other?

noticed that they differ in color on the map. blue, black, red.
The red ones in the center of the sectors surrounded by the planet, I boldly remove them.
In general, you can save, delete, and check what has changed.

I "solved" the problem like this: I downloaded a mod that removes the consumption of loyalty points. Of course, this has nothing to do with the issue, but the essence of the issue was to demolish unnecessary border posts to save loyalty. Now they no longer need to be demolished.

upd. Mod doesn't work, I'm shocked

Kag-bae did not know how to measure the radius and decided to break the mechanics of the game. Good way!

As I understand it, the radius of the outpost does not change even after research + 10 20%?
Strange, but it seems in different systems the outpost gives a different radius ...
