Quest \ "Genie \", I can not get into the boat (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)

"The last wish" smoothly flows into "Gina".
The problem appears after Ian gets into the boat to go to look for the ship of some poor magician. The enchantress takes the tiller, but the witcher refuses to do it (maybe Ian has grown fat and he thinks that they will not fit). Moreover, the action sign appears (I tried both the gamepad (A) and the keyboard (E)), but after pressing the button Geralt never sits down and does not "take the tiller" (I sympathize with him: a woman on deck - expect trouble), but I want to complete the task ...
Help if you know what to do.
The version of the game is Steam, I did not install trainers and mods. I tried to roll back in saves (close) and restart the game. Patch version - 1.12

Sit down in front of you ... You cannot sit next to it ... There will be another quest with staying in the boat - see - there is a similar situation with a seating position)

he does not have to take the tiller, sit at the other end of the boat

I feel stupid. Readlife, you were right, it helped. Thanks.
But the action "Take the tiller" seems to be the only correct one. It is necessary to listen more attentively to the characters. If Ian said that she will steer herself, then she herself, and there is no need to sit down.
