The two-handed grip of the sword in this part deals +10 damage, why is this? (Dark Souls 3)
Strangely enough, it is not profitable even in terms of endurance.Because everything is geared towards multiplayer. Read between the lines - you have to run almost naked with a fast one-handed weapon.

It's even stranger that in DS2 in PvP you can be defeated with two (!) Two-handed blows ... Even in Havel's fully pumped set ...
Richards
Well, for example, the black knight's ax, when gripped in one hand, hits on a horizontal plane (cleave), and in two on a vertical plane. Only now, to be honest, I don’t remember that the rest of the fluff had something like that. I'm going to check it out now.
Richards
It is beneficial in pvp, as huge two-handed weapons are mostly not parried. It makes you feel good when they try to fend off the two-handed blows of the black knight's ax.

Not so, everything is parried, but not all the blows of this all. Although the whips are probably not parried.
The ability to parry two-handed players depends on their moveset. Wide horizontal sweeping blows are not parried, vertical ones are parried.

Also not entirely true, the dragonfighter's ax is not parried in two-handed grip, although it has pure vertical attacks.
Flow4Master
Well, in general, you're right, whips, as usual, are not parried at all (which is logical).
