Can't Create a Character (Dark Souls 3)

Such a problem: after the introductory video, the character creation window appears and the game freezes. Not a single key works, sometimes only the selection bar blinks, and as soon as I press something, it stops. It is impossible to close the game even through the dispatcher, you have to log out of the system. Can anyone come across such a problem and know the solution?
