Will a PCI-E 2.0 video card fit a PCI-E 3.0 motherboard?
Hello! There is a problem. The other day I decided to assemble a new car, but given the rise in prices, I thought to save money on a video card. The video is old - PCI-E 2.0, and on the motherboard there are PCI-E 3.0 slots. When connected, no signal is sent to the monitor. Can this issue be related to different PCI versions?
Thanks!
this may be due to the fact that the signal goes through the graphics built into the processor, for example, in Intel i3-7 processors
with the express version, this is definitely not connected,
and so this is a very common problem for Intel when replacing a video card. however, I don’t know how to solve it.
In theory, there should be no problems, PCI-E versions are backward compatible.

then try to rearrange the video card for all express slots, including those that are not full and do not come from the processor.
if the card does not work anywhere, you can suspect that something is faulty.

Try to reinstall firewood on vidyuhu.
And check if you connected everything correctly.
Um, what kind of signal does the motherboard emit when it is turned on, one short one?

I can’t rearrange the firewood on vidyahu because the signal does not go to the monitor and in fact I don’t see anything

In theory, if everything is connected correctly, then everything should work.
