(Spoilers) Discussing Episode 5 (The Wolf Among Us)
We are discussing the episode as we liked it or not!Platypus of War
Spoiler It was Georgie who was laughing, at the door at the end of Episode 4 you could hear him saying this phrase.
And in general, if you remember the story of Vera, then she put on a donkey's skin in order to save herself from the tyranny of her father, that is, she changed her appearance to save herself. Perhaps she repeated all this again BUT if it were Vera, then she would have recognized the woodcutter at the beginning of the first chapter and he would not have lost his temper.

SpoilerIf so, then what about the real Nerissa? Georgie said he killed Vera, not a word about Nerissa. And yes, even Tweedledee during interrogation in the second episode says that Vera stole something from his boss.
You can guess for a long time what happened at the end, but one thing is for sure: it looks like a seed for the second season.
I think we will find out everything in the DLC and yes, there will probably be season 2 soon because comics have not been released for a long time, only prehistories are released.
I wonder where Ichabod Crane got to after all this? Maybe he will show up next season.
Mr_Dude090
Most likely he dumped to Paris - where Bloody Mary was supposed to send him ..
I also have another crazy idea here. That is, this idea is really crazy and stupid. But until there is an additional episode, or a new season, we are unlikely to know how it really was. So such an idea is possible.
SpoilerAt the end, besides the identical phrases of Vera and Nerissa, we hear Bafkin's phrase from Vera's story about a donkey's skin: "With its help she could hide her beauty and flee the kingdom" (well, or something like that). could Vera with the help of trying to avoid punishment from Georgie? Then someone else had to die instead of her. , then Vera could well have done it. If after the beginning of episode 1 and Vera's meeting with BigBi, then no, since she left the donkey skin with Toad. But this, in general, does not negate the fact that Nerissa by this time could already look like Vera, and be killed. Well, and Vera, respectively, with the help of enchantments takes the form of Nerissa. However, it is not very clear why all this. Plus, for example,Lily did not have a ribbon in her image as Snow, which means that with the help of a charm it can be, as it were, removed. This theme can also be developed.
paaavvel
, Lily in the image of Snowball did not see the ribbon, which means that with the help of a charm you can, as it were, remove
it. It can and can be removed , but only such a thing as an extra button and injections on the legs remained. In the photo, where Crane with Lilly in the image of Snowball, it is not at all clear whether there is a ribbon, but oh well.
In general, it seemed to me that there was some kind of special spell on these girls, in addition to their "Sealed Mouth", some kind of crap beyond my understanding.
By the way, Bloody Mary and her gesture like Vera's like "See you around, Wolf" doesn't mean that Nerissa is Mary and stuff like that.
I've only passed it once, I think I need to do a couple more passes in order to understand more.
And the brains are really boiling))
I have a couple more questions:
1. If anyone noticed that there is a black prostitute at the end of the line at the office - was it she who was leaving the "Open arms" motel with the cop when Nerissa gave Bigby the key? Or just a similar character model?
2. Do you think Mary is really over? There were dofig of her clones, maybe she managed to dump herself?
3. Judging by the drawers in the club and the notebook, there were a lot of girls working there, where are they all? It is clear that it is unrealistic to cram so many characters, but still?
And for now, the last thing: You just have to get to the bottom of the Mirror and find out who is where at the moment - ask about Nerissa, and if it shows her cold, decapitated corpse somewhere at the bottom of the river, then suspicions will be confirmed! But no one gave us such an opportunity, damn it !!!
I think it makes no sense to hide everything under spoilers, and there is a warning in the title of the topic.
Ziggaa,
I developed this idea as a continuation of what was said at the beginning of this topic, or rather "Nerissa is Vera." I do not claim that this is so, I just suggested another idea in terms of this theory.
And yes. One thing is "See you around, Wolf". It's just, let's say, a specific way to say goodbye. Another thing is when two people come up to BigBi and say almost the same phrase, which you just can't think of in a moment.
Plus Mary is a different matter. She is clearly a legend, as can be seen from her normal form in the fifth episode and from her behavior and her abilities. At the same time, Nerissa. It is clear that she is a legend, and that she seems to be a Little Mermaid. And that's all. This is somehow too little to say that maybe she is far from Nerissa.
But. Even if this is not so. Something is here. Well, not just the same, at the end, as it were, they return us to the beginning and show very similar phrases that Nerissa and Vera said. And the sentence about the skin. In general, it is clear, that nothing is clear. We will have to wait for at least some continuation. Or ingenious people from the Internet who will be able to process and disassemble all 5 episodes in order to create from this some kind of whole picture and a theory about all this.
Perhaps at the very beginning we really saw Faith for the first and last time - if you remember her phrase that she needs to drop in and drop something - perhaps the conversation was not about money at all, as one might suppose - but about the unfortunate photographs.
Nerissa brings Faith's head to the stairs of the house - in her mouth she stuffs a ribbon with an attached family ring that Faith pulled out of the casket, literally breaking the lock on it. From this ring, in fact, the first clues of Bigby's investigation begin. At the end of the fifth episode, Narissa is dressed in jeans - the same piece of cloth could be found in the first episode near the head. That is, she dragged her head and, climbing over the fence, caught on the fence, about which Bigby says that it looks sharp. Even when Bigby comes to the club for the first time - you can see the facial expressions that Nerissa is glad to see Bigby - this moment clearly skips - this indicates that he understood the message correctly and is following the trail. Further in the office - it becomes completely clear - that the curse of the ribbons is to blame for everything - Bigby makes a distinct gesture - that by trying to remove the ribbon from his neck, this will lead to death. This is so a piece to think about ..
Also about all this curse of ribbons - there is such a theory. At the end of episode 5, Nerissa still wears it - saying that you need to overcome the fear itself and remove it - but perhaps there is one more moment - maybe death will not cause its removal - but then it will dispel the second part of the curse, which is very convenient - namely, hiding from someone else's eye - the very part of "These lips are locked", which the Mirror talks about all the time when you try to find Faith or Lily (with the second knowing for sure that she is already decapitated), although asking about Faith's father - the mirror shows the remains of the king.
Most likely, when Faith dug up the photos of Lily and Crane - Krivoy gave an ambiguous order to Georgie that it was hurting business - to which Georgie took off Faith's ribbon in front of Nerissa, Nerissa, in panic opening the box, Faith stole her ring and head - thereby tossing all this stuff on the stairs. After that, Nerissa tried to warn Lily that Georgie and she wanted to be sent to the forefathers - but did not have time. It turns out that Lily was beheaded on the same night or in the morning as Faith - since Crane asked at one moment to contact Vivien and sign him up for a "massage".
In fact, the whole point of the investigation is Nerissa's revenge. She with the hands of Bigby - soaked Georgie, finished off Vivien (forcing her to commit suicide), betrayed all her friends and, without proper evidence, appeared at the right time and took revenge on Crooked, since the people wanted retribution. That's all ...
And about Bloody Mary - most likely she is alive - since this horror story cannot be destroyed just like that - a too well-known story. And it is quite possible that Bigby soaked only her clones, without affecting the original.
To summarize - there are a lot of gaps and inconsistencies in the plot - apparently the original script of the plot was changed more than once - since each subsequent episode does not look like what is briefly shown in the preview.
Mr_Dude090 That's what happened to him.
SpoilerIkabod Crane, went to Paris and lived there until he met Cinderella, and did not agree to go over to the enemy's side (I don’t know for sure, but these are the ones who captured the native world of legends). Only Cinderella came to Paris as an agent of Bigby to check Crane Since Ichabod agreed with Cinderella, he did not pass the test and Bigby killed him with a blow to the head, a statue with a headless horseman.

Well sorted out, though I have a question. About ribbons. Of course, I'm not good at English and maybe I have translated something wrong. But, as I understand it, Vivian was the main "girl with a ribbon" and this ribbon was a part of her story, like legends. So, after her death, the rest of the ribbons should not have completely stopped working. And how would Nerissa then at the end told about the Crooked One. And if at the end BigBi asks why she didn’t take off the ribbon (it means she’s definitely not killing , and then, in theory, it does not work at all). Although I may have misunderstood something.
And I still can't stop thinking about what happened at the end meant. Even if we remove the reflections about Nerissa / Vera, then the choice of "letting her go" and "catching up with her", it seems to me, hints that Nerissa involved in the criminal part of this case much more than a witness.
Oh yeah. Little nagging about what you wrote. In fact, Georgie himself attacked BigBie with a knife, BigBie defended himself and Georgie got a knife in the stomach. Although we then give the choice to kill him or leave him to die, any choice will lead to his death, in fact from - for this wound in the stomach. So you can read it for suicide. Yes, and Vivian did not commit suicide because of BigBi. So Nerissa is not very involved in this.
And about Mary. Most likely she will be alive. Here is just one moment. When BigBee was dealing with her copies, they shattered into small pieces of glass, which immediately disappeared. The last copy / original (?) Shattered into several large pieces of glass (repeating her view), which remain lying on the floor. So maybe BigBi killed the original. True, this may not prevent Mary from surviving, but Snow survived after a bullet in the head (this is already in the comics, if that).

Everything is exactly so - Vivien - "original" - the first who was cursed with a "pink ribbon" - but there is a counter - the curse works after death - when the corpse is decapitated - The mirror cannot find - repeating the phrase "These lips are locked" - my guess that part of the curse and why Nerissa did not remove the ribbon is not a simple fright. Since this part of the curse may be convenient for her - so that she can gently disappear from Bigby's field of view - this is my guess at the very ending of episode 5 -) Therefore, there is an option - to leave her alone or follow her.
Nerissa says it seems - about the fact that she and Faith had a plan to escape from Georgie and Crooked - but for this they needed outside help. The same phrase from Faith at the very beginning - "I need to tell you something" - most likely it was an attempt to ask for help, but because of the curse - none of them could say anything.
Well, I would not say that Bigby was on the defensive - even if we take into account how he mostly did with other characters (our choice or not) - it can be assumed from the concept of the script - that he really wanted him dead. Take the same twins - with a special desire, you can always deal with them in the most rude form. But with them they always give a choice. Yes, even on the same Krivoy - also given a choice. Tear off his head, throw him into a well, or put him under lock and key. There is no such thing with Georgie - pure scripting scene.
In the death of Vivian indirectly, but Bigby is guilty - forcing Georgie to tell everything about the curse and the murder of two girls, he tells everything about Vivian and her death wish - she goes to suicide in response to this - as can be assumed because of love.
And Georgie did not survive - again due to the fact that his bike is not very common in the world of people. So the scabbard blow was quite lethal for him.
As for Mary - I have already said - as long as the fear of her tales about mirrors and the curse remains in the hearts of many people, she will always be able to recover, even if in the end the last copy was the original. It's the same as in the comics when Snowball takes half of Goldilocks' skull and brain from a rifle - it took Snowy about a year or more to rehabilitate - which eventually left a decent scar on her forehead.
The only gap is strong and it is not clear to me - before throwing Lily's corpse off the bridge, Georgie shouted "Stop laughing at me", the same phrase can be heard behind closed doors during their meeting.
My only guess was that this phrase referred to the fact that their entire alliance simply mocked him as the weakest link in their chain. Apparently he was held because of Vivian - who had the ability to pass her curse on to other people - thereby making them wonderful slaves - they cannot say anything, in principle, they can not escape either.
Cidrow Laughed
at him specifically Jersey. It can be assumed that they just disliked each other, and perhaps Jersey was just amused that Georgie could not sort out the situation, except by killing 2 girls. In fact, Georgie is still a weakling and of the whole Crookedman gang, he is the most unlucky.
Crookedman is also kind of incomprehensible - having money and power, it’s so easy to screw everything up in the end.
One more thought: Remember the mirror once said that it does not invent anything from itself, but speaks as it should be. With Mukholov there was absolutely the same conversation as in the Tweeddles' office, and Nerissa (or Vera, whoever she thinks) also spoke already well-known phrases. It's not just that.
I'm kind of disappointed with Crookedman. Having the opportunity to shoot Wolf, he somehow wants to make a speech in front of the community. Like to prove how good he is. EPT, also to me, bandit. It's kind of stupid.
By the way, he rightly said that if the Wolf killed Tweedle, this does not mean that Snow is guilty. If Georgie flunked the girls - what are the complaints about Crookedman? But all the same, go to prove something to the crowd opposed to you ... Insanity.
