Mages are staves. (Dark Souls 3)

If anyone figured out the logic of spell damage from staves, please tell me.
I strengthened the basic staff with titanite twice, and now I cannot understand how damage from magic with the help of a staff is generally considered. I have already found 3 new ones, but the damage from the spells of the basic staff is still higher ?! Moreover, titanite strengthened the basic staff by literally 1-2 points. Or are there no staves in the game with a higher magic multiplier than the basic one?

intelligence for using staves is not enough therefore the damage is less

The Folom
staff has a Spell Enhancement option. The base one has it 100, after the upgrade at the blacksmith it still remains equal to the hundred.
I protested on mobs - without a ring, the Soul Arrow hits 73, with a ring - 90. I
have not yet found other items that enhance spells

I figured everything out.
In the characteristics of staves, there is a clarification of how much your characteristics (only those that have an effect are indicated) increase the damage. It looks like a characteristic icon and opposite the Latin letter - A or D, or C, etc. Moreover, "A" is the strongest effect on the amount of damage (amplification), "D" is slightly weaker, etc. It turns out that for different staffs on the 1-2 upgrade with titanite, the "D" parameter turns into "A", in other words, I caught up with my basic staff with two upgrades to the characteristics of the heretic's staff and the storyteller's staff. I think further there will be staves with the best basic stats, so that without pumping (so titanite is not napassi) they will be better than my basic +2.

Folom
what you described is stat damage scaling. Read more here - http://darksouls.wikia.com/wiki/Parameter_Bonus The
maximum scaling is S, but if two weapons have the same scaling, this does not mean that the bonus will be the same.
In general, "+1", "+2", etc. will increase as the scaling improves or the scaled parameter increases.
But the question was about the "logic of spell damage", and scaling affects damage from the hand.

So, I continue to test: for the base staff +3 with a scaling A at 16 intelligence, the spell enhancement is 100, and at 20 intelligence (raised the level) - 105. As a result, now it hits not 90, but 99.
