Galavant

Galavant is a fairy tale for those who have already grown up, but this is not quite a "fairy tale for adults", it is, rather, for a child living inside an adult. You watch it and the first thing that comes to mind is the old Disney cartoons, except that there was less comedy there. After watching, there is a feeling similar to when you, still a little, read a bedtime story. Why is she an adult? Children may not understand everything that is being told, they will not understand some of the jokes, and the charm may disappear. This is precisely the reason for both the success and the failure of this project - adults do not want to wake up the child within themselves. The plot itself is not very complicated, although this does not make it less interesting, but rather serious problems are often raised. Take, for example, one of the main characters, Richard - he is not adapted to life, not ready to be a king, but what he does, just makes you laugh. But the problem, as we learn as we watch, is not only in him, but also in his upbringing and environment.
The series takes place in the Middle Ages, approximately in the XIII century, the era of the heyday of ballads and legends about heroes and their exploits. But, since this is a fairy tale, magic is also present here, albeit a little of it. And the name of this miracle is at the same time the name of the main character, Sir Galavant, a famous and passionate hero who saves his love, getting into ridiculous situations along the way. In the second season, there are already several main characters, which only adds interest, because they are all interconnected, even if they follow different paths.
From the cast, you can immediately notice Vinnie Jones - few movie fans have not heard of him. And here he also did not disappoint, plays a brutal bad guy, the king's bodyguard and his friend, who is not alien to feelings, but he skillfully hides them. Timothy Omandson is charismatic, sweet and funny, in a good sense of the word, and his beard deserves a separate play. Hardly anyone has heard a lot about the rest of the actors, but they all did their best - the acting deserves special praise, the love lines are played just charmingly, it is a pleasure to look at all this.
Perhaps Galavant is one of the most underrated TV series in recent years. This can partly be explained by the fact that not everyone likes musicals, but per episode, that is, in 22 minutes, they sing, on average, 2 times. He is good in many ways - from the selection of actors and their performance, to the lyrics and music. It is worth noting that there are different songs - about the road, exploits, love, hatred. The fourth wall in the series is broken by more than one character, and it looks really cool, everything fits perfectly into the surroundings.
Separately, I would like to say about the Russian voice acting - the best voice acting, as well as the translation, was made by the GladiolusTV group. They have done a really respectable job of translating and adapting the text and, most importantly, jokes - the Russian viewer will understand absolutely all the jokes and they will be really funny (which is what ChCHUM and the dragon Gena are worth). The voice acting is memorable, the voices are selected and delivered with a bang. In general - well done, keep it up!
Well, if you turn to the creators of the series - I hope that you will do exactly what was sung in the opening song of the second season, and do not pay much attention to TV ratings, you will shoot the third season.

What impression did this show leave for you?

This is the first time I've heard of this. For some reason, it is not on the Lostfilm, I found it on Wikipedia.
Genre: fairy tale + musical. Apparently, the series is second-class, since it is little-known. Strange, isn't it? The first grade, for example, the fairy-tale series "The Chronicles of Shannara", was immediately posted on trackers with voice acting, but "Galavant" was not. Maybe he is interesting. Judging by the number of episodes in the season, it is short.
