[Rus] X Rebirth User Guide: 2. Gameplay (not complete, translation in progress) (X Rebirth)

2. Gameplay

- New Game - Start a New Adventure in the X Universe
- Load Game - Start with a Saved Game
- Save Game (during gameplay) - Save your progress to continue playing from this location later.
- Add-ons - Here you can enable installed add-ons. (See X Rebirth Mods for more information)
- Settings - Here you can change the graphics, sound, game parameters and controls.
- Exit - Exit the game to the desktop, but that's not what you want to do, right?

2.2. Trade, fight, build, think

Trade - Interact with a vibrant economy to replenish stocks and meet needs. Trade with your merchant ships and chop up credits on rare goods or change the trade balance by intercepting other people's merchant ships.

Fight - not everyone you meet will be friendly to you. Actually, rather, it will be those who destroy everything in their path. Equip yourself with high-tech weapons and protect your ship with powerful shields. Recruit allies and equip their warships, which you can equip at your discretion. Each weapon has its own advantage and you must master it skillfully in order to guarantee yourself victory in the battle, otherwise, instead of one large ship, you will have many small ones.

Build - Build space stations to earn more credits, then research and build new ships and equipment. There are no limits to your imagination when building stations.

Think - discover and explore new sectors, ships, communities and more to unlock new information from the Encyclopedia, and find new recruiting opportunities or new trade secrets. You can master new trading skills and hack more credits from trade, or new tactics to help you crush foes more successfully. Acting smart is not only wise, but also threatens the enemy with anal punishment.

2.5. Space

Travel Traveling in space is very easy. They sent the ship in the right direction and gave in the gas. It's so easy to fly to a nearby object. Highways and superhighways will deliver for long distances.

2.5.1. The Highways The

Highways were created by the Johnferson Space Systems (more commonly known as the Johnferson Space Dynamics Division) as a way to tie together the various points within the sectors. They are very noticeable and are iridescent threads among the cosmic void.

Entering the highway is as easy as flying on it. The Albion Skunk will travel in it at incredible speeds. There are several threads in the trunk. You will see faster boats passing by and overtake the slower ones. If you quickly attach to a faster ship, then it will hold you with its artificial gravitational field and you will be able to travel faster. Exiting the line is as easy as entering: just press Z or move to the edge of the thread.

2.5.2. Superhighways

Superhighways connect one sector to another. The main difference with a conventional highway is that, due to much higher speeds, premature exit from the highway becomes impossible. You can only leave the superhighway at your destination.

2.6 Ship cockpit

This is the very place from where all actions are carried out. You are in the captain's chair like Ren Otani, driving the Albion Skunk. Here you see the status of the weaponry, observe open space in front of you through the windshield, and run your business through the console to your right.

2.6.1. The

Albion Skunk interface is equipped with everything you need for combat and space exploration. Here are some of these benefits of civilization:
1. Display of the state of the ship - displays information about the shields (% of the rest) and the hull of the ship (background color)
2. Secondary monitor of the weapon system - indicates the type of missiles currently used
3. Main monitor of the system weapons - indicates the type of weapon currently used on the ship
4. Event monitor - displays important information for the player
5. Direction indicator - shows the direction to the selected target
6. Mission indicator - shows the direction to the active mission
7. Speed indicator - displays the ship's speed
8. Damage indicator - blinks when the ship is damaged
9. Critical Damage Indicator - displayed when the player's ship is heavily damaged
10. Mission Objective - informs the current mission objective

2.6.2. Main menu

In the main menu, you can access various modes, information, and Ren can also go to the tail section of the Albion Skunk, talk to the crew members.
Pressing the ENTER button will open the main menu at the bottom of the screen. There are 6 options in total, some of which lead to submenus:
Modes - includes Build Mode, Gathering Mode, Ore Mining Mode, Ship Scan Mode and Long Range Scan Mode
Information - this option opens a submenu of your own state, the state of personal property (ships, stations , drones), the status of the Albion Skunk and the mission manager (currently active missions)
Universe - opens the Encyclopedia, which has all the information on all the subjects that you met along the way. Also displays the navigation menu, where you can open the map of the universe in various modes
Trade - opens the trade menu
Crew - sends the player to the tail end of the ship to talk with the crew.
Close - closes menu

2.6.3. Main Armament

Monitor The main armament monitor shows the currently selected main weapon. You can switch between the options by pressing (N).
In combat, the subsystems of the Albion Skunk, including the armory, can be damaged. Damaged weapons are displayed in yellow on the monitor. The broken one is red.
The guns of the Albion Skunk cannot fire non-stop, they overheat leading to a ceasefire, it takes a little time to cool down. Monitor the condition of the weapon on the monitor to prevent overheating. At 75%, the strip turns yellow, at 100% it turns red.

2.6.4. Additional weapon monitor

The Albion Skunk Auxiliary Weapon Monitor shows the status of the missile subsystems. Like the main weapon, they can be damaged or broken in combat.
The key difference between primary and secondary weapons is that secondary weapons have limited ammo. The bar under the missile counter shows the reload time before the next shot.
When missiles run out, you can buy them or pick them up on the battlefield. Missiles and other objects are sometimes left over from destroyed ships and can be picked up. When collected, a message is displayed.

2.6.5. Navigation / Target Interaction Menu

To interact with objects and ships in space, you must hover your crosshair or
mouse cursor over it and select it. If the object you have selected is the target, its icon will be highlighted with a white border. A second click on the icon will open a menu for interacting with an object that has several possible elements.

Scanning.
Scanning a ship or station module will reveal additional information about it, such as its type, carrying capacity,
faction affiliation , and much more. The Albion Skunk must be close enough to the target to begin scanning. Scanning is performed by clicking the Scan item in the interaction menu.

2.6.6. Skills menu

2.6.7. Drone Control

2.7. Docking

Docking with space stations and ships is a great way to interact with different characters and NPCs. There are many docking ports such as shipyards, bars, repair platforms and others.
To dock, fly up to the docking port icon, and as soon as you are at a sufficient distance, the docking option will appear in the interaction menu.

Docking platform icons:
Bar
Repair platform
Shipyard
Trading platform

After docking, you can explore the station or docking platform. At stations, you can find containers with valuable contents. While exploring stations, you may find doors that do not open when you approach. As a rule, an access panel is located next to such doors.

At the station, you can meet various NPCs. With some of them you can trade, some you can hire, and some you can take tasks. The type of NPC can be identified by the icons above them.

Character icons:
Architect
Paratrooper
Captain
Quest giver
Engineer
Ship merchant
Merchant

At the stations you can meet various characters with whom you can talk. Not all conversation can be about business; some you can just chat with. Conversations with NPCs can give various discounts or trade offers, or show NPC skills.

In order to talk to the NPC at the station, just try to interact with him. If a chat option is available (not all NPCs are willing to just chat!), Select it and a mini-game will begin.
The essence of the mini-game is to place a mark on the graph line at its maximum point. To place a mark, press the left mouse button. The mark at the highest position on the chart means victory, otherwise you will "miss" the conversation.

2.8. Trading

Trading can be a lucrative way of earning credits in Universe X. With the credits earned through trading, you can
equip the Albion Skunk with better equipment, new weapons, or build a station or ship. "Albion Skunk" is not designed to transport large volumes of goods, but
by purchasing or building a merchant ship and adding it to your squad, you can take part in larger trade
missions
.
Trading in Universe X is a dynamic and vibrant market that can exist and operate like any real
economy, without player intervention. This means, with careful market research, you can
predict when goods will be most in demand in order to sell them for the highest price, but unplanned
situations can change all that.
A smart merchant is a rich merchant!

2.8.1. You need merchant ships to trade.

CARGOES

2.9. Miners

The Albion Skunk is suitable for mining with a mining laser, a high-frequency laser machine that has enough energy to ionize a beam of matter all the way through. Mining Laser Upgrades help you mine resources faster. While the laser is ideal for destroying asteroids, it is not suitable for warfare. Upgrades increase the power of the laser against ships, but don't think that it will be more effective than the latest weapons.
To start mining, or order a ship from your squad to start mining, you must be in an area with asteroids.
There are two types of ore mining: Passive and Active. Passive mining does not imply a ship from which drones can be launched to aid mining. Passive mining is more productive, but requires your guidance. Active mining (also known as automatic mining) implies a ship that launches special mining drones that mark asteroids without your participation, and the command ship uses its mining laser to destroy asteroids and collect debris.
Large asteroids
Medium asteroids
Small asteroids
To use the passive mining mode:
- Fly up to your ship and add it to the flight
- Get in touch with the ship and give the order "Passive assistance in mining"
- Find asteroids to mine. Large asteroids need to be destroyed into smaller pieces with your mining laser. Only small asteroids can be loaded into the hold.
- When the asteroid becomes suitable for mining, it will be circled with an icon, and the sight will display "COLLECT"
- To mark asteroids, use the rocket launch key. After the targets are marked, the cargo drones from the command ship will collect the asteroid fragments and place them in the hold of this ship.
To use the automatic mining mode:
- Fly up to your ship and add it to the flight
- Get in touch with the ship and give the order "Active assistance in mining". The command ship will begin mining the ore.

CONSTRUCTION

It is permissible not only to trade, mine and fight - you have the opportunity to build ships and stations that will meet your desires and needs. To build a station or ship, you will first need credits.

BUILDING A SHIP

Building a ship is a great way to add a ship that suits your wishes and needs to your squad to help in Universe X. Follow the steps below to build a ship:
- Land at the shipyard
- Find a ship merchant and start a conversation
- Select "Select ship for buildings "to open the menu for choosing the ship you need
- Select the upgrades you want to install on your ship when production is over
- Select the drones that you need to complete the ship after building it
- After you have selected the ship, the upgrades and drones you want to build, you will be told the final cost of construction and the time when production will be completed.

PLANT CONSTRUCTION

2.11. Capturing ships

Capturing ships is an easy way to save credits and is sometimes necessary to complete a mission. Adding a ship to your squad requires a captain, so make sure you have one on hand. The algorithm for capturing the ship is as follows:

- First, we hire a military officer. Then we are looking for a personnel officer and hire 20 fighters.
- When 20 fighters are hired, we are looking for a large ship that we want to capture. Set as a target and click "board" in the menu. Make sure that you are close enough to select this point, and remember - not all ships can be landed and captured.
- Remove the hyperdrive and main engines on this ship
- Protect your fighters during the landing. Make sure no fighter gets on an intact ship.
- The target will turn green when the ship is captured, however it will take a little time before you can add it to your squad.
- When added to the squad, dock with the ship and give the captain orders on what to do with the ship.
- Order the combat officer to board the captured ship, then order him and the men to move back to the Albion Skunk.

If everything went well, you have a new big ship in your squad!
