Recycling Weapon Upgrades (XCOM 2)

Hello everyone, the question is - the US continent says that I have a bonus for reusing weapon upgrades and modules for soldiers (which are PBM / PBS), but I donâ€™t understand one thing - how to reuse them?!?!?!?! Any ideas? That is, as I see it, the upgrades can be pulled out of the old weapon ... ???

I would just like to understand for myself how it works from the principle. There are plenty of new improvements.
Twisted in every way - not in any. The replacement does not help, the old improvement is removed. Although maybe it's just me ...

The old upgrade remains in the warehouse and can be attached to another barrel.

old upgrade is put into the warehouse. But there is one, but more precisely two BUT.
1 BUT improvement on a new one can only be used 1 TIME.
2 BUT which I personally noticed, those improvements that I put before the moment I captured this region, it does not work for them and removes immediately, it works on new ones.
