Runner-up (Fallout 4)
It does not seem to you that one problem of gazebo games is that he is constantly running errands. Well, let's say he became the director of the institute, why it was impossible to make it so that he could influence the policy of the institute, planned an exit to the surface. But no, they are still sent on the run either to catch synths, or to print the blood of super mutants, as if they have a shortage of personnel and cannot single out a hunter, although they churn out new synths every day. Well, or endless quests from Preston Garvey like "general, rather a radroach attacked the settlement to help, rather we are suffering losses" although in fact there may be a bunch of turrets in the settlement. It's the same in similar games. In Skyrim, the head of the thieves' guild must steal himself personally, although he could sit in a violent flask and drive teas, distributing income and performing administrative and economic functions, and the head of the dark brotherhood must fulfill the contracts personally himself, etc. etc. Don't you think that the gazebo needs, well, I don’t know, to show variety more and not to overdo it with radiant quests? The fact that he is constantly running errands is really never changing in the fallout world.Zombi_anarchist I
absolutely agree, there are a lot of good ideas in Fallout 4, only now they are implemented, unfortunately, through one place.
Take, for example, the same settlements, it would be much more logical to make it so that the GG would be engaged in the extraction of resources and the settlers, in turn, would already have established their own way of life. Why do I have to poke at each settler to equip him, why can't they take weapons and armor from the workshop, and supply lines, why this need to plant bushes with food in each settlement if there are supply lines? And this level of happiness, why is it needed ?, we are trying to survive here, what the fuck is happiness.
PS I forgot to mention the protection of settlements, this is generally insanity, why was it done if it all comes down to whether the GG is present in the settlement or not, you just have to not come and 5 skinny raiders with knives will smash everything to the ground, and in your presence they still die on the way from the turrets.
Well, what would the gameplay look like then? Sits such a GG on the throne, grit "Hey, slave! Come here. Go clean the subway from the ghouls." NPC goes to clean up. And GG sits on the throne. An hour sits, two sits. Then the NPC comes and says, "Done, General! The subway has been cleared." And so 400 hours. It would be very interesting to play. I've been looking forward to such a game every year.

Great idea! I think most of those who unsubscribed in this thread would be happy with this kind of gameplay: D
I remember it was brilliant in Morrowind - when I became a bigwig in Telvani, they gave an errand boy and you could chase him on a mission, but at the same time he had to adjust the equipment.

In the same divinity ego draconis, after becoming a dragon knight, henchmen could be entrusted with the collection of resources, the% of their success depended on the equipment given to them. The hero himself stopped chasing every chicken leg, and was engaged in investigations and major opponents, unique things. Another thing is that the developers of quests with this approach need to work at least a little, and not to score on normal quests by sending the player to the same locations for the same.

There is an option to call the minutemans to the right place with a rocket and let them fight :)
I myself somehow forgot about this possibility, I threw the rocket launcher into the workshop, but recently I remembered and tested it.
And from the built guns, you can bomb nearby locations with enemies, and not fight personally.
For example - from Potogonka - the Sogaz Irons plant and the Dunwich Drillers location, from the Greentop greenhouse - a settlement where super mutants hang out with their dogs - Breckhart Banks.
In my opinion, the "General of Army" mod will be appropriate here, which allows you to take an army with you. Then you can safely walk and drink tea while the army destroys the next bad creatures.
I have a mod hanging in NMM, but I haven't tested it yet. And I forgot what you can't do there, but look for laziness.
PS I found what you can't do - you can't recruit companions in this way, under the threat of losing them forever.
PPS I bet a lot of people are going to install this mod right now to get rid of Preston Garvey ....
Preston pulled up with his tasks, and even to repel the attacks of the mole rats constantly. Constantly in the journal some stupid task to kill three mobs. Maybe fuck him up? Z ...... l, no strength already. Today they gave me a task to kill the ghouls, like they torture the settlers, I come, but there are no ghouls. There is a task marker, but there is no ghoul, and restarting the game does not help.
ZY I remembered the game The Godfather II, where it was necessary to capture objects and repel attacks. So there you could send the boys to run errands, and scratch the eggs yourself
“The dialogue system now operates in real time. When you approach someone and start a conversation with him, time does not freeze - the game world continues to live without you. Want to end the conversation? Just walk away from the interlocutor. Dislike the NPC's comments? You can get the gun right during the conversation and shoot the daring character. There is no need to wait for someone who is talking to finish his speech or to press any buttons to end the conversation. Everything happens in real time. â€- Pete Hines
In general, Pete Hines, you are pi ... a liar and a deceiver!
