Halo 5: Guardians on Xbox One. Went through the campaign on Normal, found all the data and available skulls.
Returning to the passage of the series after 6 years.
Halo 5 came out at a time when the Xbox One wasn’t a joke yet. Created by 343 Industries, a studio that was put together by Microsoft to thoroughly milk the John-117 franchise after the departure of Bungie. The campaign came out even more faded than Halo 4. The co-op looks tight, and this despite the fact that this is the first Halo focused strictly on co-op. There are already six partners, three for each team, but I only recognize Buck from ODST, who are these other nouns? They do not even try to somehow reveal themselves, although they constantly flicker in cutscenes, all interaction comes down to resurrection at death and sometimes indicating a goal (which they still ignore). Scattered data is exclusively audio recordings that are not even subtitled, listening to them in the middle of a battle is not very convenient, and they are filled with sheer garbage. There is no encyclopedia, everything that is not in the frame remains out of the frame. It seems like a good story of Halo 4 was continued by some kind of abrupt spin-off - the cute mascot-partner Gg disappears and returns as a fucking supergod, some kind of cheap fanservice anime turns out, where each snot sooner or later acquires its own very, very important story that ends with how did it start. And Gg himself is now not even the main character (otherwise the game would have ended in forty minutes). The plot is just super - the Chief sees a vision. Another thing that haunted me throughout the story is how UNSC fight an enemy who just teleports to the battlefield? The Covenant at least flew in transports. some kind of cheap fanservice anime turns out, where each snot sooner or later acquires its own very, very important story that ends with the same as where it began. Gameplay. The classic Halo combat is still up and running. We added a sight, tackles, dodges and sprints, which are like a dog's fifth leg (I constantly forgot about the sight, it's Halo). There are no large open levels where you can take a banshee and land somewhere near the devil on Easter cakes, there is not even close, all missions are small and very linear. Even in transport, there is nowhere to go for a drive. There is no split-screen, by the way, this is the power of the next gene. But there are vibrating triggers. The graphics are pretty good, the characteristic style is present.
The Halo 5 campaign is disappointing in almost every way.
